I went down to the woodward CFB, and was happy to meet 3 new girls, plus Becky Bacon whose already on the site.

Thursday I was walking into cloud 9 when I saw a girl dropping into the mini. I forget where Kathleen Dunlap is orginally from, but she just moved to NC. she was working on her double peg grinds on the mini untill the woodward people kicked everyone out. (we wernt allowed in that building). Kathleen is just starting out, but everyone that knows her said she shows a lot of potential.

Also on Thursday, Becky Bacon came up and intruduced herself to me, which was good since she dyed her hair since the pics she sent me and i would have never recognized her. Becky was there the whole 4 days taking photographs, but never got a chance to come ride with me. We did get a chance to hang out a little bit and talk though.

Sat I got to meet Ilona Adamiec from York PA. I had talked to Ilona one time on the phone, and had heard a ton about her. Ilona can do a lot of tricks and shes cool as hell. She even taught me a new track stand variation, I pretty much hung out with her the entire day. Shes the best girl flatlander that I have had the opportunity to ride with so far.

Late Sat, I ran into yet another girl, Nina. Shes from Long Island, NY and has only been riding a month or so. She rides ramps, and I think dirt. I never got a chance to see her ride cuz the woodward people wernt to siked on people riding who didint have wristbands, but I showed her some flatland tricks and she tried em on my bike.

I was also able to get Lindsay Kouwe's phone number (finally!), and the hoffman zine with a pic of lindsay in it. So look for her soon, as well as profiles from all girls i met there. on the way home i bought a jones soda. Only later did i notice that the person jumping on the bottle was a girl. and when i came home and had two ride mags sitting here (thanx mutt!!), the one with the erin donato interview, and the newest one, with a pic of lindays licence plate.

It was a great trip, everyone I met was totally nice, and its a sure sign the number of girl riders is growing. Watch out boys, the girls are on a mission. :)
